Engagement
Development of tools and software
We build tools for the company's current accounting system. Invoice intake of this kind is accounts payable automation, and it remains with the current ledger. Those tools also cover bank imports and other steps the staff still perform by hand. We put each tool into service before the engagement ends.
Connection to the current ledger
The tools connect to the company's current ledger, and we do not install anything on company computers. That arrangement suits an information technology department that must approve every new application.
A contract that no longer fits
When the company is paying for software that sits unused, we read the agreement, identify what must be replaced, and move the accounting without opening a gap in the current period.
What the company receives
The company receives a tool that is already in service. A bank import brings activity into the current ledger. Invoice intake proposes the account and matches an open bill when one exists. The staff are shown how to run that path before the engagement ends.
Nothing is left as a sample. If a line cannot be supported, the tool holds the line, and the staff can see why it was held.
Questions
- Do the tools replace QuickBooks, Oracle, or another ledger?
- No. The tools work beside the current accounting system, and the chart of accounts remains in that system.
- Does the information technology department have to install them?
- No. We do not install anything on company computers.
- What if a software contract no longer fits?
- We read the commitments in the contract, plan the exit, and move the accounting onto the system that will carry the close.
- How does an engagement start?
- We start from the steps the staff still perform by hand, usually bank imports and invoice intake, in the ledger the company already has.
- How long does it last?
- The engagement lasts until the tool is in service and the staff have run it on the company's own activity. The agreement states that point.
- How does this fit the accounting system the company already has?
- The tools connect to that ledger. The chart of accounts remains there, and the company does not install a new application.
