Engagement
Support
After the routine is in place, we can remain on the period close for the time stated in the agreement, or we can oversee the work while the company hires.
What support covers
We handle the period close and the schedules that accompany it, and we can stay while the company fills an open role. When the company's period is a month, that work is month-end close support. The same engagement can include other accounting work when the company requests it.
During a supported close, we prepare the reconciliations, list the open items, and keep the calendar moving. The company's staff remain the people who know the books. Support is the extra capacity for the closes named in the agreement.
When it ends
Support stops when the staff can complete the period close, or when the new employee has started. The accounting department continues to belong to the company.
